Teen Vogue Fashion University Part 1!

TVFU...I can pretty much sum up the weekend with one word: wow!

As you all probably know, working in the fashion industry is my dream. Seeing and hearing about the experiences all the designers and editors went through or go through now was just the most rewarding and amazing oportunity ever! I have to say, Michael Kors and Betsey Johnson are hilarious! I love the fact that Betsey loves Nicki Minaj and that Michael said that "fashion is not for sissys". And of course Alexander Wang and Jason Wu are my idols! It was so interesting hearing about how they got started and especially Jason's experience in designing Michelle Obama's dress. I could probably go on for 10 more paragraphs but I think i'll keep this short and sweet :) Without a doubt, I will definitely be applying again next year!

 H&M, 25% off, madness and chaos from 500 fashion fanatics in one building, mini hamburgers and ice cream cones and smorecheesecakes and chocolate balls of wonder {which sadly i did not get pictures of}, goofy waiters, awesome red headed DJ, hair feathering {that fell out the next day ):} and the beautiful NYC at night :)

I've never really been a hat person. I used to hate them, mostly because I thought my head was wierdly proportioned and it would be unflattering. But lately, i've grown a craving for them :P I really need to go out and get a nice wool floppy hat!

This is my new favorite skirt. I feel like it captures the essence of fall despite the fact it is a floral print. I know that florals are reserved for the spring and summer but they always creep into my fall/winter wardrobe every once in a while.

 So I was browsing through some tumblrs and I came across 2 things that I found very inspirational. One of them was this quote - The minute you think about giving up, think about the reason you held on for so long. I think i'm gonna take this on as my life motto :) The other thing was the passage below

I officially LOVE these combat boots. I love them so much that I might end up wearing them everyday! So bear with me if thats all you see on my feet for a while :P

The other day, either my camera's not cooperating with the remote or the remote is not coperating with the remote. Now I'm back to running back and forth every 10 seconds when I can't get my friend to take pics :(
