Has anyone started thinking about Halloween yet, or is it just me? 

Halloween is probably my favorite holiday and I always start thinking of what I want to be next Halloween the day after Halloween :P Not that I really actually start planning it but I like to think about it periodically throughout the year. Ever since starting college, I don't really get out much so my dilemma this year is whether I should dress up or not. I believe it's on a Thursday this year so I'll definitely have class all day :( But has anyone ever gone to the Halloween parade in nyc? I heard it's really awesome and I wanted to go last year but Hurricane Sandy happened. I have yet to go to one of the many parades that occur in nyc so hopefully I can go to this one one day! But yea, I guess I still have a couple more weeks to decide what i'll do...crossing my fingers that I can coax my roommate into going out with me so I can dress up! (You hear that Christina...yea thats right, I'm talking to you :P) 

And if I do, well I'll let it be a surprise as to what I want to be ;)
When I put this outfit on though, both my roommates were like "You should be Robin Thicke for Halloween!" So I guess this would be the perfect back up! Haha but in all seriousness, this blazer is awesome and I won't let Robin Thicke and Miley's twirking taint this cool blazer!

So how beautiful is this skirt?! I love the victorian vibe of it from the cream lace and imitation of tiers. Once it gets colder, I'm definitely excited to wear a comfy sweater with this and pile on layers of scarves! Can you believe that September is almost over though?! I still can't believe I've been back in school for a month now! Even though I like being on a schedule and keeping busy, I'm already wishing for winter break haha. But anywayysss the more important thing is that, the cockroach came back T-T My roommate told me today that she wants to become friends with it and name it Janet. Oh silly her! I'd rather it be squished underneath my shoe :P

Wahh I'm still recovering from my spending spree this morning :( This shoe design class is seriously killing my wallet! I went to the garment district this morning to buy leather for the inner and outer skins of my boots. I'm making a pair of chelsea style booties and I'm going to be covering the front half of the boot with leather scalloping sewn together to mimic dragon scales. Right now I'm still working on the pattern of the shoes and boy oh boy is it difficult! I feel like I will always be in a state of confusion in this class for the entire semester. Haha but yea I think I'm going to set my goal low and hope that I can at least fit my foot in the shoes once they're done!

I'm ready for fall...but apparently it's going to be 90+ degrees here today....
But anywayysss, yesterday my roommates saw a cockroach in the kitchen O_O I didn't have class yesterday so I was still sleeping when my roommates discovered it. I woke up from the commotion and it sounded like they were going to attempt to kill it. One of my roommates started using the microwave and I thought that they were microwaving the cockroach. Haha but don't worry, they weren't. It got away and now I'm completely paranoid that every time I open the kitchen cabinets, it will come flying out at me. Hopefully I'll forget about it or get used to it because who am I kidding, I'm probably going to have to encounter one one day when I'm living alone in a apartment in Manhattan. *sigh* I'll stop now because thinking about bugs gives me the shivers.

btw, kudos to you if you know which song the post title is from...hint, i'm completely obsessed with this band...double hint, the black and white photos totally go with band's theme though it was totally unintentional when I converted these photos to b&w ;)

It's only been two weeks since school started but I feel like I need to have a catch up weekend. I'll probably spend all weekend knitting and reading :( 

So hopefully you guys know who I'm talking about but I was OBSESSED with The Neighbourhood the moment I heard Sweater Weather. I just found their cover of Say My Name/Cry Me A River and its amazingggggg! This is your homework assignment for the week, go listen to it...now :P I promise its good :D

First week of school done..YES! Only like 30 more weeks till summer :P
For those of you already back in school, how'd it go? For some reason, I feel like I have a lot of classes compared to last year but I actually only have 3 hours more. Maybe its the three history classes I have...those are definitely so much funn...*sarcastic voice*

But despite having to sit through all those history courses, my other classes are pretty good :) I have draping, knitting, illustration and shoe design. I'm really excited for various projects we'll be doing in each class! I'll definitely go into everything more and share lots of pictures when the time comes :)
